Advancing Player Support: A monthly look at our journey

New phase

When we first started building our product, we set a clear goal: to communicate actively and loudly about the features we were developing. We committed to doing this often, repeatedly, and with input from many industry experts to help shape the product alongside us.

Now that we have established many of the cornerstones of our product offering, we realize that a new phase is beginning. We’re diving deeper into the features we’ve built and focusing on helping our existing partners onboard successfully. We’ve also noticed that, now that the “basic” components are in place, we’re less inclined to actively broadcast what we’ve built or are currently building.

That being said, our progress has far from slowed down. In fact, we feel that our pace has only increased, and we’re eager to share more about what we’ve been planning for both the near and distant future.

This blog post marks the first in a new series aimed at providing a structured communication channel to show where things are heading. Our existing updates page will likely evolve into a ‘roadmap,’ where we’ll communicate, at a holistic level, what is currently being implemented and what is coming next. For statistics, we still like to follow those. And for the usual tradition, here's for the August.

Gamescom

This was the second major event we’ve participated in. In March, we attended GDC and were amazed by the size of the event. However, after experiencing Gamescom, we gained a whole new perspective on what a large event really is.

At Gamescom, it was a pleasure to reconnect with old friends and make new acquaintances. We primarily participated in the B2B segment of the event and gradually stepped back as the B2C portion kicked off on Friday. We’re already looking forward to returning next year.

SDK

Our SDK has made significant updates. It is now fully available for both iOS and Android, with support for Unity coming very soon.

During July and August, we adopted a new design approach that has received positive vibes.

Our theming system is now fully aligned with the web support we recently launched. We’re very happy with how our system works and how well the branding aesthetics align across both the SDK and the web support.

Our design approach now only requires updating five core colors, and it performs beautifully across the board. One of our next steps is to integrate typography into the system, which we plan to implement very soon.

Support Application

Player journey

A major milestone was reached with the release of Player Journey. This feature is incredibly useful for customer support, as it quickly and efficiently displays the player’s steps and actions leading up to the initiation of a support conversation. Now available directly within our support application.

Collectors

Another long-awaited feature is the ability to integrate our Collector elements directly into Troubleshooting flows. This enhancement will enable the creation of more meaningful flows and allow for the collection of precise information that your customer support team needs before a ticket is created. We also added a way to quickly monitor Collector results as well as download the CSV for reporting needs.

Player Verification

We also recently introduced Player Verification, ensuring that your player data is secure and untampered. This feature covers essential data such as player IDs, emails, and any custom metadata sent from your game.

Built with security, flexibility, and simplicity in mind, Player Verification offers automatic rotation of verification secrets, time-limited verification tokens, and complete control over token signing to meet your specific security needs.

Web support

We’ve recently launched our web support channel, which automatically adopts the same styling as our in-game SDK. This ensures that the support experience across channels is coherent and aligned with our brand. The search function leverages GenAI technology to retrieve answers directly from the content, so users don’t have to sift through results to find what they’re looking for.
